Task 2.2

Reflect on Reading Habits:

All the pictures show people reading in very different situations. In the first picture we can see people reading in a library. There we can find people reading for pleasure and those who are reading because they need to do a project for school or study for an exam. I like the atmosphere in a library as people are usually quite and you can relax and focus on your reading.

In the second picture we can see an adult and a girl. I think the adult is teaching the girl how to read. Both seem to be enjoying this moment. I really like this picture because it reminds me when I taught my children to read. Those were very special moments for them and for me.

In the third picture we can see someone reading on an e-book or i-pad. That is another format where you can read but I prefer reading paper books. I think this person is reading just for pleasure.

In the fourth picture we can see a classroom where all the students are reading the same book. Maybe the teacher told them to do it and chose the book for them. As far as I know students don’t usually enjoy when you tell them what and when to read.

In the last picture we can see a man reading a newspaper in the street. He seems to be focused on his reading but not in a very comfortable position. He could be resting a little bit at work and chose a newspaper to read while resting. This is what I do when I have some free time at school. I like reading newspapers to be informed of what is happening all over the world.

I usually read when I have free time,mainly on holidays or at the weekends. Reading is one of my favorite hobbies. It makes me feel good and forget about my daily routine. I love mystery and romantic books. As I said before, I prefer reading paper books and in the English language, unless the author of the book I wanna read is Spanish or the book is written in Spanish. However,I always take my tablet when I travel because it is less heavy, easier to carry and you can have any book you want to read.
